What makes a great Holiday gift, but the gift of Art and Wine. Tickets to the Grand Celebration of Hudson Valley Art and Wine are now on sale.
All year the artists of the Hudson Valley have been working hard creating pieces that have been inspired by the wineries they were paired with. Their art will all be on display during this two day event May 20 and 21, 2011
The Grand Art and Wine event will feature a Grand Tasting of the Hudson Valley’s artfully-crafted wines and gourmet food. Attendees can view the unique gallery of wine-inspired art by some of the Valley’s most acclaimed artists. The event is a partnership between Hudson Valley Wine Magazine, and Lyndhurst, a National Historic Trust, to benefit educational and cultural programs. Lyndhurst, overlooking the Hudson River in Tarrytown, is a premier example of American Romanticism that was born in the Hudson Valley, and that also found its expression in the Hudson River School of painting, America’s first recognized art movement.
The Opening Night Gala May 20, 2011 is the premier art opening exhibition of Hudson Valley winery-inspired paintings, photographs, jewelry and sculptures along with tastings of over 35 hand-crafted wines from Hudson Valley wineries, paired with artisanal foods by local restaurants. Meet the artists and winemakers.
This celebration of local food, art and wine takes place on the beautiful grounds of the majestic Lyndhurst Estate in historic Tarrytown, overlooking the Hudson River. Ticket includes a special toast on the Veranda, a tour of the Mansion, valet parking, and benefits the educational programs at Lyndhurst, a National Trust Historic Site.
